Joakim Hoffman, Managing Partner

Joakim focuses on executive search engagements in the industrial and life sciences sectors serving private, public, private equity and government clients and has functional expertise from completing several CEO, CFO, operations, and sales assignments. 

Since 2012 he has successfully completed over seventy executive search engagements across Europe, Asia and the United States. Assignments include Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs Trade Commissioner to China, Chief Operating Officer for a private equity owned global market leader in cold chain logistics, Chief Financial Officer for the solid wood product division of one of Europe´s largest private forest owners and Vice President Production - Submarines & Warships for a leading, listed European defense & security company.

Joakim joined Hoffman & Partners from Mercuri Urval USA, where he was the New York City representative. Previously he was a Partner and Consultant at Novare Executive Search in Stockholm, where he worked as a member of the firms industrial practice.

Prior to Sweden, he lived in Shanghai and worked as an Organization Consultant with leadership development, executive assessment and cross-cultural communication advisory and as a Project Manager for a manufacturing footprint optimization project in China and Southeast Asia with SCA Packaging Asia. He spent four years as a Client Solutions and Search Consultant with Korn/Ferry International and Hudson developing and driving solutions across Talent Consulting, Projects, Search & Recruitment Process Outsourcing service offerings in North Asia and Sweden. 

He is fluent in four languages with certified university level fluency speaking; reading and writing Chinese, Spanish, and English in addition to Swedish. 

Joakim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mandarin Chinese from Lund University with additional studies in Business Administration Organization Theory, Southeast Asian Ancient & Modern History and Chinese Ancient & Modern History.

Ann-Sofie Hoffman, Partner and Founder

Ann-Sofie focuses on Chief Executive Officer and Management Audit engagements mainly in the Consumer and Technology sectors. With twenty-five years of executive search and leadership advisory experience she has completed hundreds of engagements in the Nordic and Baltic countries.

Assignment includes pre-acquisition human capital due diligence of a mid-size consumer electronics company on behalf of a French private equity group, Vice President Engineering for a US software company headquartered in Mountainview, California, CEO for a Swedish mid-size technology company and various Country Manager positions in the Baltic Countries for one of Sweden´s largest telecommunication providers.

Before founding Hoffman & Partners in 2008 she was the Managing Director Nordics 2003-2008 for Nasdaq listed Hudson Highland Group. Hudson Highland Group Nordics covered Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland with offices in Stockholm, Malmö, Gothenburg, Oslo, Copenhagen and Helsinki employing twenty Consultants. This was a continuation of her operational involvement in the executive search firm Search Competence she originally founded in 1993 and sold to TMP Worldwide, owner of Hudson Highland Group and Monster.Com, in 2000. 

Ann-Sofie was the third Swedish employee at Apple and spent over ten years in the company as a Sales and Training Manager, she started her career in the Consumer and Technology industries at Xerox as a Technical Pre-Sales Specialist.

Ann-Sofie holds a Bachelor of Arts in Swedish from Uppsala University with a minor in English Literature and Educational Theory. She has completed Executive Education courses at London Business School.
